Similar things happened with my car with a shop around Victory Monument when I when I went to get spacer for my front wheels, at first I wanted 10 mm but the owner said "go with 15mm it doesn't make much of a different, and it looks more FULL" so I did, fast forward a week later.. both of the inside of my inner wheel arches panels looked like a Bobcat went to town with them... because they were all shreaded.
Which at the first glance it seems that the side wall is now becoming too close to the plastic pieces upon turning... there by rubbing it into the shape of claw marks. So I took it to the shop, and the owner ALSO yelled at me and said that it was my tires not his spacers (mind you, I didn't have that problem BEFORE I put the spacer on). despite the fact that I didn't change the tires after I change into his thick spacer.
I explained the logic to him which led him to questioning my suspension set up (also got at his shop) as the cause of the problem and that I "did not understand the product fully before I buy them" and fit them improperly (again I got them all fitted at his shop) Then he simply "offer" to solve my problem said he won't charge me for the service if I choose to take the spacer off now. And that he can not do much more or else he would go out of business, if he let every customer come and claimed every issue they has with there car.....
Some service... isn't it? safe to say I never return to that shop again......
