Today I have a chance to visit P' Chart at Ruam Yang garage, one of the oldest garage in Thailand. P' Chart's parents started the garage about 50 years ago. He had a chance to service many royal cars. Here are some pictures from his personal photo album.

There is a story behind these two pictues. P' Chart told me that about 20 years ago, his daughter fall from the second floor of the building, lying in front of the car but she was 100% ok. So, P' Chart asked the palace to keep the garuda (krud) of the car. Today,the garuda is still with his family.

อู่รวมยางตรงถนนสามเสนด้านหลังแบงค์ชาติใช่ไหมครับ

คาดว่าน่าจะใช่ เนื่องจากเห็นรถในวังมาทำที่นี่หลายคันเลยครับ

ตอนผมทำงานที่ ธปท. ก็ได้แถวร้านรวมยางนี่แหละเป็นที่ฝากท้อง

คือว่าอู่เค้าแปลงเป็นตลาดนัดสำหรับคนทำงานแถวนั้นขายของทุกชนิด

น่าจะทำรายได้มากโขและเป็นกอบเป็นกำเกินว่าอู่รถคลาสสิคไปซะแล้ว

ดีใจที่ได้ทราบเรื่องราวดีดีครับ

สมัยเด็กๆ ตอนอยู่บ้านถนนพระอาทิตย์ พ่อจะเอารถไปทำโน่นทำนี่ ที่อู่นี้บ้าง

เพราะใกล้บ้านและใกล้ที่ทำงาน

จนเด๋วนี้ ย้ายมาแล้ว พ่อยังกลับเอารถไปตรวจสภาพที่นี่อยู่เลย

เพิ่งทราบว่าเป็นอู่ที่มีเรื่องราวมากมายอย่างนี้ครับ

1. HRH crown prince's SLC

2. Benz 300 >>> this car was parked at Krom Sum pa vut when there was an explosion around 20 years ago. All other cars were damaged except this car. Amazing isn't it?

3. 600 Pullman. Note the garuda in the front. It's made of "white jade".
