แจ่มครับน้องต่อขอเผื่อพี่ด้วยนะครับ :D สุดท้ายเอาข้อมูลเจ้าReliant Scimitar มาฝากครับ ;)

Reliant Scimitar GT / SE4

Ogle Design displayed their new design based on a Daimler SP250 at the 1962 Motor Show. This car had many simularities to the Reliant sports car of the time - the Sabre.

Not just the Fibreglass body, but the chassis, suspension and wheel base were very close indeed. Reliant were looking for a sucessor to the Sabre whose sales were beginning to decline. So modifications to headlining, rear seat, doors and back wheel arch enabled the Ogle Daimler body to be accomodated by the modified chasis of a Sabre.
The original Daimler V8 engine was not used, a straight six 3 litre Ford unit used in the Zephyr was found to be ideal for this Grand Tourer. The new car, codenamed the SE4 was first on display at the 1964 Motor Show at Earls Court at a price of 1,292.00 £ including the wood venier dash board, wire wheels, seat belts.

After 2 years 297 cars had been produced with the Ford straight six engine, then this was superceeded with a more compact, more powerful V6 3 litre unit. So the SE4 had to be modified to accomodate this new power unit, handling was also improved by alterations to the chassis and suspension, the new car was called the SE4a.

The interior was then changed to be all black, this car was called the SE4b. In 1967 the Sinei Desert War caused a rise in petrol prices, so Ford developed a 2.5L V6 engine which was offered in the Scimitar Coupe as it was becoming to be called, this model was codenamed the SE4c.

Production ceased in 1970 after 590 3L and 118 2.5L cars had been produced. The only Coupe modifications to be seen after that date was two cars had SE5 GTE alterations to modernise the body shell, the car was never comercially produced.
