Hi, I just tought I'd update what I've been doing.

On 22nd of May I will be back in Thailand with my wife and 16 month old Daughter, it'll be her first time in Thailand. We are going over to see my Father and step Mother (kon Thai)
We will be in Lat Ka Bang for the first few days then of to Petchaburi for a few more. We will then go see some friend that own a resort on Kohpangnang before returning to Phetchaburi.
I regularly on a Sunday go to a Thai Wat in Wimbledon West London to spend some time amongst some Thai people and have some food and talk to Thais and Farang. The Last time I went I took my 300ZX which I had some custom number plates made for it. They are not genuine Thai plates as I still have to show my cars reg, but its as legal as I can have them.

hi,  i never knew you can put other things on the plate beside numbers. especially, it is Bangkok Thailand.

It's funny that while my car here is trying to get UK plate (look alike), your car there have the Bangkok plate  :grin: . Glad to hear from BKCC member from distance. Nice car  :good:

Actually, i don't think i've seen a short UK plate before.  I read once about the silver on black plate in a magazine. It said it's old style but I don't recall whether it's still road legal.

Can you tell me more about your plates?

The silver on black number plates in the U.K where finished in 1972, my car is 1990. You can generally get away with it in th U.K until the car goes for its annual safety test called the M.O.T. Where it would fail it because it is supposed to have the white long numberplate  on front and a long yellowone at the rear...nice!
When I had my Delorean I was driving around London with American California number plates, no one said anything so I got away with it for 2 years


I have seen a few cars in Bangkok, Cha am and Koh Saan with British/ Dutch pates hidden behind Thai plates, one being a Merc 560 SEL.

Seems like they don't pull over your cars just for the license plates, nice.
